Option 1: Port del Comte Station

This splendid resort is located in the province of Lleida, in the municipality of La Coma i La Pedra, and is considered as one of the best options for those who want to enjoy a getaway to a quiet ski slope, without much public attendance, even more so now in times of pandemic.

The Port del Comte station has 37 spacious slopes and 16 lifts for attendees to have everything they need on an intense day of skiing or snowboarding.

The resort also offers ski schools for beginners, ski equipment rental, practice area for beginners and experts. On the other hand, they also develop parallel activities such as hiking, paragliding, golf that work throughout the year.

For all this, Port del Comte station is an ideal choice to go with friends because it is the closest station to Barcelona about 150km from the city, with cheap accommodation close to it for those who want to spend more than a day here.

Option 2: Station de la Molina

Maybe one of the most famous stations in Catalonia, it is located in the province of Girona and has no less than 61 kilometers of ski track and 12 ski lifts. For example, compared to the Port del Comte Station we told you before, La Molina is special because it is much smaller, however, it has the most visitors during the winter, that is why it is not surprising that in 2011 it was the official venue of the World Snowboard Championship.

On the other hand, the Molina also has extensive circuits of sleds, snowshoeing and snowmobiles that will make your adventure in the snow an unforgettable experience

Option 3: Baqueira Beret station

Located in the province of Lleida, specifically in the Aran Valley, Baqueira Beret offers more than 120 km of open snow slopes, thanks to its location in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. Therefore, it offers lots variety of services, lifts and huge slopes, which undoubtedly make it the second most important ski slope in Spain and the first in Catalonia.

In addition, Baqueira Beret offers other types of activities such as ski lessons, ski equipment rental, fun snowshoe excursions and snowmobile routes. For all these reasons, it is one of the stations with the most demand among the local and foreign public.

Option 4: Vall de Núria

It is located in the province of Girona, specifically in the municipality of Queralbs, being one of the highest in Catalonia for its almost 2,000 meters above sea level. It should be noted that these slopes are intended more for beginner skiers or fans of skiing who have a basic or intermediate level. Its width is 7km of snow track, perfect for a pleasant experience with friends or family.

Option 5: Espot Ski Parc

The resort of Espot Ski Parc is located next to the natural park of Aigüestortes, in the town of Espot, Lleida. It has comfortable slopes for skiers and snowboarders, but more advanced levels. Therefore, it is considered one of the perfect Catalan resorts to escape the massive of beginner skiers.

Another important thing is that here the landscape is very beautiful because it has lush forests of black pine that make the stay a magical experience.
